the backstory,
history: There's nothing much to say really. Marie and her family are all perfectly happy. None of the children have transferred factions yet, and it's unlikely Mindy will. Her father has a steady job, and her mother is a 'stay-athome' mother. Brandon only just passed his initiation, so he works at the fence. But he likes it there, not much pressure. Marie works with the new initiates. Nothing major (like mentoring them completely), she's one of those people who provides her fears for a practice fear landscape. She also helps out with the simulations at the school. The rest of the time she has no job, and she likes it that way.
the look,
- physical appearance: Marie is renowned to be a very pretty girl. She's aware of it, but doesn't notice it very much in her day to day life. She really just uses it for flirting. Marie has clear, olive skin. It's not tan, her skin is naturally this shade. Marie is on the taller aide if the height scale. She stands at roughly 5'11" and she's pretty lightweight. Not because she's underfed, but just because Marie's never eaten much and probably never will. Marie also has long fingers and toes because of her height. This extends into her arms and legs as well. Although the length is more noticeable in her legs, lots of her height comes from them after all.
Marie is a pretty face, and she knows it. Her nose is of average size, as are her eyes. They're a pretty average shape as well. Marie has long, pitch black eyelashes. They curl upwards at the end and suit her eyes perfectly. Marie's eyes are a dark brown. They're not incredibly dark though, lots of eyes are darker than hers. You can still tell the pupils from the irises anyway. Marie has lips that are a slight pinkish colour. They look like her skin colour, but lighter and covered in blush. Marie's teeth are fairly white and straight. Marie's face, as a whole, is simply pretty and welcoming. Unless she's angry or annoyed. Then it looks quite hard and cold.
And finally Marie's hair. It goes just pass her shoulders, so it isn't too long. But it's long enough for Marie to style in various ways. Her hair is quite straight, and it's not really wavy. It's more of a slight curve towards the end of her hair. Marie's hair is a very dark brown, almost black. It completes her overall look of browns and blacks. Marie's eyebrows are on the thinner side and arch slightly. They are the same shade of brown as her hair.
dressing style: Marie is a big fan of midriff/ crop tops for some reason. Maybe to reveal her flat stomach? Anyway, she usually wears a black one with black leggings or pants. She's rather fond of black boots to go with this outfit. Marie is tame by Dauntless standards, she only has one tattoo. It's similar to a henna. It's pitch black and curves and spirals all over her left hand. It stops a few centimetres below her wrist and only spirals up her pinkie finger. Marie has two piercings so far. She has one for each ear. Marie isn't very picky when it comes to earrings. Anything pretty will do.
the personality,
- personality: Marie is a predictably brave girl. She was born into Dauntless, so she has plenty of experience. She loves to have fun and she can be a bit loud at times. She can also be a pretty big chatterbox. Marie is an adrennaline junky. She loves the thrill of the moment, and she doesn't shy away from anything unless it's dangerous or just downright stupid. Marie is also quite intelligent and profficient wih weapons. She finished top of the leaderboard when she had to go through her initiation process. She'd always been near the top the whole way through. Marie prefers throwing knives to shooting. It just feels more natural to her. But she does love a good game of paintball.
Marie is a generally pleasant person. She's kind to people, and she isn't rude. Well, not usually anyway. Marie is a very outspoken person. She doesn't like to hide things or keep secrets so she says what's on her mind. Obviously she won't say anything particularly mean or nasty to someone's face, but the rest of the time she's perfectly honest. But that doesn't stop her from lying every now and then. She's not Candor after all. But obviously she's not erfect. Marie hates admitting when she's wrong. She also takes an instant dis-liking to people who point out her mistakes. Marie is very stubborn and hardly ever backs down from a challenge. She's not fond of losing, but she's not a really sre loser. She's just a bit grumpy for a while.
